Philosophy – COMIUCAP
COMIUCAP (WORLD CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY INSTITUTIONS OF PHILOSOPHY) CORRESPONDS TO THE INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH GROUP OF PHILOSOPHY OF THE INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF CATHOLIC UNIVERSITIES (FIUC).
Presentation
COMIUCAP was founded in Rome in April 1999 as a network of university and Catholic institutions dedicated to teaching and research in philosophy.
The creation of this network is a direct result of the publication by Pope John Paul II of the encyclical Fides et Ratio, the last document of the Church’s magisterium on philosophy.
As a network, COMIUCAP was officially inaugurated at the first General Assembly held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris in March 2000.
